The One Who Is Blessed

KEY VERSE: "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is," Jeremiah 17:7.

Atheists do not believe in God; therefore, they do not believe in the provisions of God. They feel they are responsible for their own prosperity, so they see no need to give thanks for what they receive. They do not have a feeling of being blessed. How sad!

The child of God knows that blessings come from above and not from within. God can bring showers of blessings that are beyond our imaginations. God is the great provider. A river can be compared to the provisions of God. The waters of the river run deep and so do the blessings of God. The roots of the tree planted by the river seek out the abundance of water. The tree is not only stable in its existence, but its leaves flourish because of the abundance of water. God has a vast storehouse of blessings with which He can bless His children. The provision of God never runs dry. God is never unable to bless His children. The blessings of God help the child of God to grow spiritually. Instead of taking blessings for granted, Christians should give thanks to God for the bounty they receive. Do not take your blessings for granted. What the Lord gives, He can take away. Be grateful for everything with which God has blessed you. A grateful heart is a joyful heart.

JUST A THOUGHT: God blesses at His discretion not our demand.
