You Reap What You Sow
KEY VERSE: "For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting," Galatians 6:8.
A person should not expect to reap positive benefits by doing evil things. For example anyone who intentionally inhales toxic chemicals will destroy brains cells that can never be regained. The brain is so negatively affected, it can no longer function normally. This destructive choice has no positive benefits.
A child of God should not expect to reap spiritual benefits when he satisfies the lusts of the flesh. Every sin he commits tarnishes his spiritual testimony. If the desires of the flesh are not resisted, sin soon becomes more important than righteous living. People will become less faithful to serving God and church attendance. The time will come they no longer seek to please God. If they sow spiritual seeds, they will reap a spiritual harvest. A person who wishes to win souls to the Lord must witness to the lost. A person who desires to experience spiritual growth must study God's Word and have a consistent prayer life. Spirituality does not come by accident. Are you experiencing a consistent spiritual harvest? If not, begin to prepare for such a harvest by ceasing to sow the seeds of the flesh.
JUST A THOUGHT: Follow the instructions of God and reap the spiritual fruits that will embellish your spiritual life.
